Prototype 1

For my initial prototype I laser cut cardboard to guarantee everything would fit correctly and ensure that this product would meet all user needs. I found that one drawer was not enough and that a conventional drawer may block some of the UV-C light. I presented this model to professional reviewers and after hearing their feedback on the concept I established what I needed to change going forward. My main goals were to make multiple drawers that easily slid in and out, find out how effective UV-C light is at killing bacteria, and to recreate this product in a durable material.
